LIME | KEY LIME (1 LBS)

Citrus aurantiifolia is native to Southeast Asia. Its apparent path of introduction was through the Middle East to North Africa, then to Sicily and Andalucia and then, via Spanish explorers, to the West Indies, including the Florida Keys. Henry Perrine is credited with introducing the Key lime to Florida. 

This especially small fruiting prized variety of lime has a sharp more zesty less bitter flavour. It’s fruits don’t get much bigger than a ping pong ball. Key ingredient in Key Lime Pie for it’s special flavour it imparts. Very much appreciated by chefs and avid citrus lovers & fascinating to all who discover it!
