Origin: Garcinia madruno, or Charichuelo, is a fruit-producing tree species from the rainforests of Central and South America. Also known as Rheedia Bentameriana, or lemon nerf balls.
Flavor Profile: This fruit similar in flavor to a sweet, yet tart lemon, but has the texture of a mangosteen. The flesh of this fruit will melt in your mouth!
How To Eat: Cut or break open the outer shell. The cotton candy- like white flesh is the part to consume! Avoid eating the seed in the middle.
